Security
Your accounts stay yours.
Joebox is safe to hold every account you have because of how it is built: your accounts belong to you, they stay on your computer, and nothing about them is anyone else's business. Here is what that means, in plain words.
Every account is sealed apart
Each account runs in its own separate session. Your work Gmail cannot see your personal one, and a client's Slack cannot touch another client's. That is how Joebox is built, not a setting someone could switch off.
Your sign-ins live on your computer
When you sign into something in Joebox, that sign-in is saved on your own machine, in a folder you own. We do not have your passwords, so we cannot lose them.
Your account list stays with you
The list of accounts you keep lives on your own machine. Joebox does not pass which services you use to other companies.
Sites ask before they see or hear you
Before any site can use your camera, microphone or notifications, Joebox asks you first, once per account and site. You can take any of those permissions back in Settings at any time.
You hold the lock
Set a PIN and Joebox locks itself when you step away. Any account can be wiped from its menu, and you can export your accounts to a file you own and take them with you.
The Mac app is checked by Apple
Every Mac copy of Joebox is signed by us and checked by Apple before it reaches you, so what you install is exactly what we built.
If Joebox crashes, you decide what happens
A crash report is written to your own machine and is not sent until you say so. Joebox asks you the next time it opens, and deletes the report if you say no.
